However, I gave the book 4 stars because it is obvious that the author believes in heroes, heroines, bad guys and good old-fashioned values like, love and honor.

I can understand how American audiences didn't like it as it is full to the brim of British humuour at its darkest and driest best, something many friends over the pond wouldn't quite understand.
